It's the Cumbres and Toltec
narrow gauge railroad which travels between
Chama, New Mexico and Antonito Colorado.

At the end of the trip we got a ride in this locomotive. It was VERY
exciting. The engineer would only let us climb into the cab if we
promised not to get it dirty! He told my son how to open the firebox with
a foot pedal, but he was pretty sure he didn't want to do that. When I
did it he jumped back against the back of the cab. Then the engineer said
"Kid, you make me nervous!".

Nice anachronistic juxtaposition, right? Look, they even have a satellite
TV dish! The nice shiny new double cab pickup and the ATV are hidden
behind the locomotive.

A brake air hose broke on the way down the mountain. It only took about ten
minutes to replace it.

Who'd ever have thought someone might be so rude as to take a flash
picture in a tunnel? Can't a couple get any privacy on this train?
